Ride sharing for the needs of college life.
There is a large gap in the transportation industry in college towns across the country. Students need to get around, but existing options are not reliable, affordable and enjoyable. Rideshare and current taxi apps are only sometimes available, and often fail due to the unique market dynamics and inability to relate to students. Traditional taxis and buses offer inferior and outdated services. College towns are unique in that the student body accounts for a large portion of the local population.
RedRoute has launched and is beta testing at Cornell. They hope to branch out soon to students and taxi companies at 3-5 additional schools in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes region.
